100% Whole Wheat Bread
100% Whole Wheat Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 8 1/2 c. whole wheat flour, 2 pkg. yeast, 1 c. warm water, 1/4 c. oil and 1/3 c. molasses, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Add yeast to warm water and stir until dissolved.
Add oil, molasses, salt and milk.
Gradually stir in 3 cups flour and beat vigorously for 2 minutes.
Add remaining flour.
Knead about 10 minutes or until dough springs back to touch.
Place in lightly greased bowl.
Cover and let rise until double in bulk.
Punch down.
Divide into thirds and shape into loaves.
Place in well-greased pans.
Cover and let rise.
Bake at 425° for 10 minutes, then at 350° for 25 minutes until golden.
Makes 3 loaves.
