White Mountain Frosting
White Mountain Frosting is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. granulated sugar, 2/3 c. hot water, 2 tbsp. white corn syrup, 3 egg whites and 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Put sugar, water and over slow fire; stir until sugar is dissolved and mixture begins to boil.
Cover for 2 to 3 minutes to wash down crystals.
While syrup cooks, beat egg whites and cream tartar until whites are stiff. Allow syrup to boil vigorously until it spins a thread.
Add marshmallows and remove from slowly over egg whites, beating constantly.
Be sure that syrup goes into egg whites and not on the side of bowl.
Beat until cool, frosting should hold its shape when dropped from spoon.
