Scallops(Good) is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. bread crumbs, 1/4 c. parmesan cheese, 4 tbsp. butter, 2 tbsp. margarine and 2 stalks celery, sliced, no leaves, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Preheat oven to 350Β°.
Make topping by combining bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese in a bowl.
Melt butter and margarine in a medium saucepan.
Saute celery and onions in melted butter and margarine.
Blend in flour to make a paste; cook 1 minute over medium heat.
Gradually add milk, stirring after each addition. Stir wine in sauce.
Add cheese and let it melt, stirring.
Fold in scallops.
Pour into a greased 2-quart casserole.
