Yeast Bread
Yeast Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 7 c. all-purpose flour, 2 pkg. dry yeast, 2 1/2 c. milk, 3 tbsp. sugar and 2 tbsp. shortening, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.

Mix in a large bowl 3 cups flour and yeast.
Heat milk, sugar, shortening and salt just until warm, stirring until shortening melts.
Add to dry mixture in mixing bowl and beat 3 minutes. Stir in enough of the remaining flour to make a stiff dough.
Turn out onto a floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic, 8 to 10 minutes.
Shape into a ball; place dough in lightly greased bowl.
Cover and let rise in warm place until double in bulk, about 2 hours.
Punch down and knead for 5 minutes.
Shape into rolls or loaf pans.
Cover and let rise in warm place until double, 60 minutes or more.
Bake in oven about 45 minutes at 375Β°.
Remove from pans to cool on wire racks.
Makes 2 dozen rolls or 2 or 3 loaves.
