Mince leeks and onion and saute in butter for 3 minutes.
Add potatoes and chicken broth.
Simmer, covered, for about 15 minutes or until tender.
Put vegetables through food mill or blender. Return purΓ©e to broth.
Remove from heat.
Add cream; salt and pepper to taste.
Serve hot or cold.
Top with chopped fresh chives.
