Seafoam
Seafoam is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 c. sugar, 1 c. nuts, 1/2 tsp. vanilla, 2 egg whites and 1/2 c. white corn syrup, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Boil sugar, syrup and water until it forms a hard ball in the water.
Beat whites and salt, using an electric beater on high speed for 3 minutes in a large bowl.
Pour syrup slowly into beaten egg whites, beating constantly until the mixture passes the glossy stage; add vanilla.
Continue to beat until the mixture forms peaks when beaters are raised.
Drop on waxed paper by spoons and let harden.
