Pigs In A Blanket is an easy dinner. Made with 1 round steak, thinly sliced and cut into 6 to 8 pieces, 6 to 8 slices bacon, uncooked, 1 onion, cut into thin wedges, 1/2 to 3/4 c. flour and salt and pepper to taste, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Mix flour with salt and pepper; dredge beef slices in flour mixture.
Pound with meat mallet to tenderize.
Place one slice of bacon on top of each meat slice; top this with one onion wedge. Roll up beef with bacon and onion inside; secure with toothpicks. Repeat for other meat slices.
Brown bundles in butter or margarine in Dutch oven, using high heat.
After browning, reduce to low temperature, add water to almost cover beef and simmer 1 1/2 to 2 hours until done, turning beef occasionally.
This makes its own gravy.
