Perfect Pie Crust
Perfect Pie Crust is an easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1/2 c. shortening and 4 to 5 tbsp. water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

In medium bowl, stir together flour and salt.
With pastry blender, cut in shortening to size of small peas.
Sprinkle 1 tablespoon water over some of the flour-fat mixture.
Toss this portion lightly with a fork until moistened; push to side of bowl. Repeat until all of the dry mixture is moistened and clings together when pinched with fingers.
Form in ball.
Place on lightly floured surface; flatten.
Roll from center until 1/8-inch thick.
Fit loosely into pie plate.
Trim 1/2 inch beyond edge; fold under and flute.
Makes single 8 or 9-inch crust.
