Old-Fashioned Creamy Fudge
Old-Fashioned Creamy Fudge is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. sugar, 3/4 c. milk, 2 1/2 blocks (2 1/2 oz.) baking chocolate, 2 tbsp. light corn syrup and 1/4 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Combine sugar, milk, baking chocolate, corn syrup and salt in a heavy 2-quart saucepan.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture boils.
Cook, stirring occasionally to 234° or until small amount dropped into cold water forms a soft ball.
Remove from heat.
Add butter and vanilla.
Do not stir. Allow fudge to cool at room temperature without stirring until it reaches 110°.
Beat until fudge thickens and loses some of its gloss.
Pour quickly in greased pan, about 8-inch square.
