Mexican-Style Tacos
Mexican-Style Tacos is an moderately easy dinner. Made with flour or corn tortillas, steak, oil (1/4 cup or less), onion (1/2 cup or less) and pepper, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
For authentic Mexican style tacos, try this.
Instead of ground beef, use steak - cut thin and then cut into bite-sized pieces. Saute onion in oil in a pan (don't use much onion - just enough to taste).
Add bite-sized steak pieces and cook until done.
Sprinkle with just a little bit of black pepper.
Serve on corn or flour tortillas with shredded cheese and just a few slices of jalapeño pepper.
For authentic Mexican tacos, use Chihuahua Gran cheese, or Queso Asado which should be available in the hispanic section of the grocery store.
If that is not available, use Monterey Jack cheese.
(Authentic Mexican-style tacos are not usually served with lettuce or tomato on them.)
