Little Wellingtons
Little Wellingtons is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. filet mignon, cut into 6 slices, butter or oil for browning, 1 large onion, chopped, mushrooms, sliced and 1/2 c. sherry or any good white wine, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Saute filet slices in butter or oil unti lightly browned, cool. Saute onion and mushrooms in meat drippings.
Add sherry and reduce slightly.
Roll out patty shell until large enough to Cover meat. Place filet in the center of the pastry.
Top with tablespoons of mushroom mixture.
Cover meat.
Seal pastry with water.
Bake at 350Β° about 25 minutes.
