Icebox Butter Ring(No Sugar in Dough)
Icebox Butter Ring(No Sugar In Dough) is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 cake yeast, 1/4 c. lukewarm milk, 2 eggs, 1 c. sour cream and 4 c. all-purpose flour, sifted, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Dissolve yeast in lukewarm milk, add eggs and sour cream. Sift together flour and salt and cut in butter or margarine as for pie dough.
Add yeast mixture.
Mix well and chill overnight. Divide dough in 4 parts.
Roll each to a rectangle, brush with melted butter and sprinkle with a little cinnamon and spread liberally with nuts, raisins and a hand full of brown sugar.
Roll up like jelly roll sealing edge firmly.
Form into a ring sealed side down on greased pan sealing ends.
Brush with melted butter or margarine.
Let rise 2 hours. Cut about 6 gashes in ring to let steam escape during baking. Bake at 350Β° for 20 minutes or until done.
Frost with confectioners icing.
Butter rings also are delicious with prepared poppy seed or Solo filling.
Yields 4 rings.
