In a large sauce pan, combine the ripe tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar, Italian seasoning, garlic, garlic salt and pepper. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Bake uncovered, at 350Β° for 15-20 minutes or until cheese is melted and sauce is bubbly. Let stand 5 minutes before serving. Makes 6-8 servings.
