Flour Tortillas
Flour Tortillas is an easy dinner. Made with 2 c. flour, 1 tsp. salt, 1/4 c. crisco solid shortening and 1/2 c. lukewarm water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Combine flour and salt.
Cut in shortening with a pastry cutter until crumbly like coarse cornmeal.
Mix in enough water to make stiff dough.
Knead on a floured surface until smooth.
Make 6 equal portions and shape into balls.
Cover with a damp towel and let rest for 15 to 20 minutes.
Roll each ball into an 8-inch round.
Cook on a moderately hot griddle or skillet until freckled with brown spots, being careful not to break puffy air bubbles as you turn it.
The tortilla will still look white for most part. Keep warm in a clean dish towel covered with foil.
Use tortillas to make burritos.
These will not fall apart.
