Crispy Tomatoes
Crispy Tomatoes is an easy dinner. Made with green tomatoes, stone ground corn meal, 1/2 cayenne or other hot pepper, seeded and diced (hopefully just picked from the garden) and olive oil, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Cut tomatoes into 1/2-inch slices.
Dip into corn meal, making sure both sides are well covered.
Heat enough olive oil in a large frying pan to just cover bottom of pan.
Add pepper, then quickly fry tomato slices until just crisp on outside (about one to two minutes per side, depending on thickness and how hot pan is). Remove to paper towel to absorb any excess oil.
Serve immediately.
