Crackers
Crackers is an easy dinner. Made with 1 c. sifted flour, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1/4 c. shortening, chilled and 2 or 3 tbsp. ice cold water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Sift flour and salt together.
Cut in shortening with pastry blender until the pieces are the size of small peas.
Sprinkle 1 tablespoon water over flour mixture.
Toss lightly with a fork. Continue adding water gradually and tossing quickly until dough holds together.
Chill dough 5 minutes.
Roll on floured board until very thin.
Cut into 1-inch wide strips and place on cookie sheet.
Bake at 400Β° until tips of crackers are golden brown.
