Chocolate Mousse
Chocolate Mousse is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate, 1/4 c. water, 1/3 c. brandy, 1 envelope unflavored gelatin and 1 c. sugar, divided, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

In top of double boiler, combine water, brandy, gelatin, 1/2 cup sugar and chocolate.
Heat until mixture is smooth and well blended.
Remove from heat and allow mixture to cool until it mounds with a spoon (stir frequently with a wire whisk).
While chocolate mixture is cooking, beat egg whites until soft peaks form.
Add cream of tartar and gradually beat in 1/2 cup sugar, beat until stiff peaks form; set aside.
