Swedish Meatballs
Swedish Meatballs is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. ground beef, 1 c. soft bread crumbs, 2/3 c. evaporated milk, 1/4 tsp. nutmeg and 1 egg, beaten, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Mix well.
Form into small balls.
Heat in heavy skillet 2 tablespoons oil.
Add meatballs, a few at a time.
Brown slowly, turning gently to brown evenly.
Remove meatballs when brown.
To drippings, add 1 cup water, stock or consomme.
Bring to a boil, stirring to loosen browned particles.
Combine 1 tablespoon flour and 2 tablespoons cold water.
Blend until smooth.
Slowly add to skillet, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens.
Add meatballs.
Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
