Swedish Meat Balls is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 lb. lean ground beef, 1/4 lb. ground veal, 1/4 lb. ground pork, 1 1/2 c. soft bread crumbs and 1 c. light cream or half and half, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Have meats ground together twice.
Soak bread in cream 5 minutes.
Cook onion in 1 tablespoons butter until tender.
Mix meats, crumb mixture, onion, egg, parsley and seasonings.
Beat until fluffy, 5 minutes with mixer, then 8 minutes by hand.
Form in 1 1/2-inch balls.
Brown in 2 tablespoons butter, shaking skillet to keep round.
