Southern Style Banana Pudding
Southern Style Banana Pudding is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (4 serving size) pkg. vanilla or banana cream instant pudding, 2 c. milk, 32 vanilla wafers, 3 bananas, sliced and 3 egg whites (at room temperature), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Prepare pudding according to package directions. Arrange half the vanilla wafers in bottom of an 8 x 8 x 2-inch square baking dish. Top with half the bananas, then half the pudding.
Repeat with layer of remaining wafers, bananas and pudding. Beat egg whites, vanilla and cream of tartar in medium size bowl at high speed until soft peaks form. Add sugar gradually, beating until stiff peaks form.
Spread meringue evenly over pudding, spreading to edge of dish to seal. Bake in preheated moderate oven at 350Β° for 10 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
