Melt 3 tablespoons butter in skillet.

Arrange enough potato slices in skillet to cover bottom.

Season with 1/4 teaspoon salt and a dash of sugar and pepper.

Saute for 10 minutes or until golden on bottom side.

Turn with pancake turner.

Saute for 5 minutes or until golden.

Drain on paper towel and keep warm. Repeat until all potatoes are sauteed.

Cook onion in 2 tablespoons of butter until just tender.

Return all potatoes to skillet and garnish with onion rings.
