Pâté Brisse(Pastry Rounds)
Pâté Brisse(Pastry Rounds) is an easy dinner. Made with 2 1/2 c. all purpose flour, 1 tsp. salt, 1 tsp. sugar, 1/2 lb. (2 sticks) cold, unsalted butter cut into small pieces and 1/2 c. ice water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Place flour, salt and sugar in bowl of food processor.
Add butter and process for 10 seconds or until mixture resembles coarse meal. With machine running, add ice water, drop by drop.
Stop as soon as dough holds together, even if there is water left.
Divide dough in half; turn out onto 2 large pieces of plastic wrap.
Press dough into flat circle, wrap in plastic and chill for at least 1 hour or freeze for later use.
Use for any pie or tart.
Will keep for a month in the freezer.
