Pasta Bolognese
Pasta Bolognese is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 lb. lean ground beef, 2 tbsp. olive oil, 1 large onion, 1 slice root celery or 2 stalks celery and 1 carrot, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
In a skillet saute ground beef in 1 tablespoon oil until meat loses its pinkness then transfer to a pan.
Peel and chop onion then dice celery and carrot.
Chop ham into small pieces and saute in remaining oil with onion, celery and carrot.
Transfer to pan with ground meat and combine all.
Add water, tomatoes or tomato purée, garlic, salt, pepper and thyme.
Cover and cook for about 20 minutes, then add the wine or chicken broth and cook for a few more minutes.
