Pasta Bolognese
Pasta Bolognese is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 lb. ground beef, 2 tbsp. olive oil, 1 large onion, 2 stalks celery and 1 carrot, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
In skillet, saute ground beef in 1 tablespoon oil until meat loses its pinkness.
Transfer to pan.
Peel and chop onion; dice celery and carrot.
Chop ham into small pieces.
Saute in remaining oil with onion, celery and carrot.
Transfer to pan with ground meat.
Combine.
Add water, tomato purée, garlic, salt, pepper and thyme.
Cover; cook for 20 minutes.
Add chicken broth. Cook for a few more minutes.
Cook pasta according to directions. Drain well.
Serve immediately with sauce.
Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
