Old Fashioned Yeast Rolls
Old Fashioned Yeast Rolls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. shortening, 1 c. hot water, 1 c. warm water, 6 c. plain flour and 3/4 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Cream together the shortening and sugar.
Add cup of hot water; set aside.
Dissolve yeast and 1 tablespoon of sugar in the warm water; add to the creamed mixture when cooled.
Add the eggs and the flour, mixing well with bread hook on mixer or big spoon. The dough will look elastic and smooth.
Scrape sides of bowl. Cover with Saran Wrap, then cover with a dish towel.
Let rise until double in bulk.
Push your finger in it; if it comes out clean, stir with a spoon.
Refrigerate until ready to make out into bread of choice (loaf, Parker House rolls, etc.).
Bake at 375Β° for 25 minutes, or until brown.
Makes 4 to 6 dozen rolls.
