Old Fashioned Beef Soup
Old Fashioned Beef Soup is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 lb. beef (cheaper cut), 1 good-sized marrow bone, 1 medium potato (whole), 1 medium onion, cut into 4 pieces and 1 medium carrot (whole), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Combine all ingredients in a large soup kettle.
Bring to a boil.
Then reduce heat to a very slow simmer with just 2 or 3 bubbles coming up.
Simmer for 3 1/2 hours.
Add more water if soup simmered down too much.
Remove meat and bone.
Strain soup into another kettle.
Let come to a boil, then add noodles and cook slowly 10 minutes.
