Never-Fail Beef Bourguignon
Never-Fail Beef Bourguignon is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 lb. lean beef, cubed, 2 medium onions, sliced, 2 tbsp. flour, 6 tbsp. butter and 4 bay leaves, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Roll beef cubes in flour.
Brown beef, sliced onions and garlic in butter.
Transfer all to a large Dutch oven.
Add bay leaves, thyme, parsley, salt and pepper.
Pour enough wine over meat to cover.
Simmer 2 1/2 hours.
Add whole onions and cook to tender.
Add mushrooms the last 15 minutes.
If sauce needs thickening, add flour and water to mixture.
