Molasses Cream Taffy
Molasses Cream Taffy is an easy dinner. Made with 2 c. molasses, 1 c. sugar, 1/2 c. whipping cream and 1/2 tsp. soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Mix molasses and sugar in a saucepan and bring to boiling point.
Add the thick cream, reduce flame to low heat (265Β°) and continue cooking until a sample makes a hard ball when put in cold water.
Add the soda and beat until thick.
Pour onto a buttered platter.
As edges cool, turn into center.
When cool enough to handle, pull until light colored and stiff enough to hold its shape.
Cut into small pieces.
