Maryland Style Crab Cakes
Maryland Style Crab Cakes is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 lb. fresh crabmeat, 1 small onion, diced, 2 red peppers, diced, 2 yellow peppers, diced and 1 tsp. old bay seasoning, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Carefully pick out all bones in the crabmeat; set aside.
Saute the onion and red and yellow peppers until clear.
Mix the grain mustard, mayonnaise, spices and crabmeat.
Mix and add 1 egg yolk and 1 1/2 cups of plain bread crumbs.
Taking a tablespoon, spoon out level portions of mixture until finished.
Pat them out to 1/2 inch crab cakes.
Use remaining bread crumbs to "bread" the cakes. Saute them in 1/4 inch of olive oil until golden brown on both sides.
Squeeze fresh lemon juice; dip in tartar sauce and enjoy!
