Combine the milk, yeast and sugar in a large bowl.

Set aside in a warm place until rises to the top.

Add salt, oil, beaten eggs and flour to make a soft dough.

Stir until fairly smooth on top and set aside for 10 minutes.

Cover and let rise for 30 minutes or until more than double in size.

Cut out dough the size of a small egg with a tablespoon.

Shape into small balls and place on a well-greased baking sheet 1 inch apart.

Brush with melted shortening and let rise in a warm place away from draft for 15 minutes.

Make a well in the center of each ball of dough and fill with a cooled fruit mixture.

Let rise again for 25 minutes. Bake in a preheated oven at 375Β° for 15 minutes or until a golden brown.
