Galaxy Mousse
Galaxy Mousse is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 eggs, separated, 1 c. milk, 1 envelope unflavored gelatin, 3/4 c. sugar, divided in 1/2 c. and 1/4 c. and 1/4 c. unsweetened cocoa, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
In small bowl, beat egg yolks with milk.
In medium saucepan, combine gelatin with 1/2 cup sugar.
Blend in milk mixture. Let stand 1 minute.
Cook over low heat, stirring to dissolve gelatin (about 5 minutes).
Whisk in cocoa and malted milk powder. Transfer to medium bowl and refrigerate about 35 minutes until mixture mounds when dropped from spoon.
In mixer bowl, beat egg whites until soft peaks form.
Gradually add remaining 1/4 cup sugar and beat until stiff peaks form.
Fold into gelatin mixture, then fold in whipped cream.
Spoon into an 8 1/2 x 4 1/2-inch loaf pan.
