👨‍🍳 Instructions

Spray molds with cooking spray.

Combine sugar, corn syrup and water in a heavy 2-quart saucepan.

Stir until well mixed.

Before putting pan on stove, remove sugar crystals on sides of pan with a brush in water.

Sides must be perfectly clean above water level. Begin cooking.

Cook to 300°.

Do not stir while cooking.

Add desired food coloring when the liquid reaches 265°.

Do not stir it in.

Boiling will distribute color.

Pour finished syrup (at 300°) into oiled molds and let cool.

Remove from molds before the candy sticks to the mold.

Syrup can also be poured into well oiled flat pans, scored and broken into pieces.

Store candy in a cool, dry place.
