Blackberry Cobbler
Blackberry Cobbler is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 unbaked 10-inch double crust, 4 to 6 very ripe blackberries, 1 c. sugar, 1/4 c. water and 1/4 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Make pastry; roll half very thin and use to line a 2-inch deep baking pan.
Roll other half and cut into 2-inch strips.
Bake half the strips in a preheated 375° oven until lightly browned.
Put berries, 1 cup sugar and water into a saucepan.
Cook until berries are soft.
Mix flour and 1/4 cup sugar; add to berries.
Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture has thickened slightly.
Spoon berries into pastry lined pan with cooked pastry strips stirred through filling.
Dot with butter.
Cover with remainder of pastry strips (uncooked).
Bake at 425° until pastry is brown.
