Bagels
Bagels is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 tsp. dry yeast, 1 1/2 c. warm water, 3 tbsp. sugar, 1 tbsp. salt and 4 1/2 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Combine the yeast and 1 3/4 cups flour.
Add water, sugar and salt to yeast mixture.
Beat at a low speed for 1/2 minute, constantly scraping the sides of the bowl.
Then beat at high speed for 3 minutes.
Stir in enough of the remaining flour to make a moderately stiff dough.
Turn onto a lightly floured board and knead until smooth.
Cover and let rest for 15 minutes.
Divide dough into 12 portions.
Shape into balls and punch a hole in center of each with a floured finger.
Pull gently to enlarge hole. Keep in uniform shape.
Cover and let rise for 20 minutes.
