Au Gratin Potatoes
Au Gratin Potatoes is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 lb. potatoes (6 medium), 1 medium onion, chopped, 1/4 c. margarine or butter, 1 tbsp. all-purpose flour and 1 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Clean potatoes and cut into thin slices to make about 4 cups. Cook and stir onion in margarine in 2-quart saucepan until tender.
Stir in flour, salt and pepper.
Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is bubbly.
Remove from heat. Stir in milk and 2 1/2 cups cheese.
Heat to boiling, stirring constantly.
Boil and stir for 1 minute.
Place potatoes in ungreased 1 1/2-quart casserole.
Pour cheese sauce on potatoes. Bake, uncovered, in 375Β° oven for 1 hour.
Mix remaining cheese and bread crumbs.
Sprinkle over potatoes.
Sprinkle with paprika. Bake until top is brown and bubbly, 15 to 20 minutes longer. Makes 6 servings.
