Angel Food Cake
Angel Food Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 10 to 12 egg whites (room temperature), 1 1/2 c. powdered sugar, sifted, 1 c. sifted all-purpose flour, 1 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar and 1 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Preheat oven to 350Β°.
Sift powdered sugar and flour together 3 times. In a mixing bowl, beat egg whites, cream of tartar and vanilla with an electric mixer until soft peak forms (tips curl). Add sugar gradually about 2 tablespoons at a time, beat on high until stiff peaks form.
Sift 1/4 of flour mixture over beaten egg whites.
Gently fold the flour mixture into the beaten egg whites.
Repeat sifting and folding 1/4 flour mixture at a time until all is folded in.
Pour batter in ungreased tube pan.
Place on lowest rack of preheated oven.
Bake 40 to 45 minutes. Immediately invert cake in pan.
Cool thoroughly.
Loosen sides of cake from pan with a knife and remove from pan.
