60 Minute Yeast Rolls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 c. flour, 3 tbsp. sugar, 1 tsp. salt, 2 pkg. yeast and 1 c. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Mix 1 1/2 cups flour, sugar, salt and yeast in large mixing bowl.
In saucepan, heat milk, water and margarine until very warm (120° to 130°).
Margarine doesn't have to melt.
Add to dry ingredients and beat 2 minutes with mixer.
Stir in 1/2 cup flour and beat on high 2 minutes.
Stir in additional flour to make soft dough.
Turn onto board and knead 5 minutes.
Place in greased bowl; let rise 15 minutes.
Shape into rolls.
Cover and let rise 15 minutes.
Bake in 425° oven for 12 to 15 minutes.
