In large bowl pour milk over sugar, salt and butter.

In another small bowl dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water.

When milk mix is same temperature as yeast mix, put together in large bowl and add 1/2 of flour.

Beat by hand or by electric mixer about 5 minutes or less by electric mixer.

Add rest of flour, turn out on floured board and knead until dough is glossy and elastic.

Place in buttered bowl and cover with dish towel.

When doubled in size punch down and roll into 3 loaves.

Let rise until doubled.

Bake at 300° or 350° for 1 hour or 45 minutes depending on pans.

Turn out on rack and butter crust.
