White Mountain Frosting is an easy dinner. Made with 2 c. sugar, 1 c. water, 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar, 4 egg whites (room temperature) and 2 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Place sugar in heavy saucepan.
Add water and cream of tartar. Bring to a boil without stirring.
Cook until syrup reaches 240Β° on candy thermometer.
Beat egg whites with electric mixer.
Add vanilla and continue beating until almost stiff.
Still beating, add sugar mixture in fine stream.
It is important to add sugar mixture slowly.
Keep beating at high speed until thick.
Frosts 2 (9-inch) layers.
