Venison Roast
Venison Roast is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (2-inch) venison roast (about 4 lb.), 1/4 tsp. pepper, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1/4 c. flour and 4 tsp. chopped celery, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Soak the roast overnight covered with water, 4 tablespoons of vinegar and 1 teaspoon of salt.
Drain water off and rinse several times.
Cover roast with flour generously and brown in fat on both sides; add remainder of seasonings and 3/4 cup of water.
Simmer with lid on for 1 hour.
Add remaining water; simmer until tender. You may have to add more water if it cooks out.
