Toffee Candy(Candy)
Toffee Candy(Candy) is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 sticks butter (not margarine), 1 c. sugar, 1 tbsp. light corn syrup, 3 tbsp. water and 1-1/2 c. natural almonds, sliced, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Slowly melt butter with sugar, corn syrup and water in a heavy 2 qt saucepan.
Cook and stir constantly over moderate heat until mixture reaches 290Β° on a candy thermometer.
Add 1 cup sliced almonds, stirring constantly.
Pour in buttered pan and flatten out thin (1/8 inch).
When cool, melt 4 ounces of chocolate and spread on candy.
Sprinkle with almonds.
When this hardens turn candy over and melt the other 4 ounces of chocolate and spread on candy, sprinkle the remaining almonds on candy. When this hardens break into pieces.
