Three Step Pot Roast
Three Step Pot Roast is an easy dinner. Made with sirloin tip or rump roast, 6 medium potatoes, peeled, 1 large onion, sliced, 6 carrots and celery leaves or flakes, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Trim all visible fat from roast and layer with slices of onion, celery leaves/flakes and carrots.
Place peeled potatoes along edge of roasting pan and add about 12 ounces of water.
Cover and place in oven at 400° for 1/2 hour (this browns the roast), then 325° for the rest of the cooking time (approximately 2 more hours).
When finished cooking, ladle meat juices into shallow bowl and place in freezer compartment of refrigerator about 8 to 10 minutes to allow fat to rise and harden.
Remove hardened fat with a fork.
Makes a delicious flavored gravy.
