Sweet-Sour Beets
Sweet-Sour Beets is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 or 5 medium beets, 1/4 c. brown sugar, 1/4 c. frozen orange juice, 2 tbsp. lemon juice and 1 tbsp. cornstarch, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Beets; saucepan with 1-inch boiling water; add salt to taste.
Bring to a boil; cover and simmer for 25 to 45 minutes or until beets are tender.
Drain and reserve cup beet liquid; peel and slice beets; set aside. In saucepan, mix reserved liquid, brown sugar, orange juice, lemon and cornstarch; bring to a boil, cooking until thickened. Add beets and heat, stirring until glazed; keep warm.
A skillet, saute pecans in butter; add beets, salt, pepper and parsley.
