Swedish Coffee Bread
Swedish Coffee Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 pkg. active dry yeast, 1/2 c. warm water (105~ to 115~), 1 c. scalded milk, 1/2 c. butter and 1/2 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Add butter, sugar and salt to scalded milk.
Let cool to lukewarm.
Measure warm water into large mixer bowl.
Sprinkle in dry yeast and 1 tablespoon sugar.
Stir until dissolved, add cardamon, lukewarm milk mixture, eggs and 3 cups flour.
Beat until smooth.
Stir in additional flour to make a smooth dough. Place in greased bowl, cover and let rise for 2 hours.
Turn onto floured board and shape into rolls or braids.
Place on slightly greased cookie sheet and let rise until double.
Bake at 375Β° for 20 minutes.
