Stuffed Shrimp is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 6 slices bread, crumbled, 1 tbsp. finely chopped onion, 1 tbsp. finely chopped green pepper, 1 tsp. finely chopped celery and 1/2 c. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Saute onion, pepper and celery in butter until tender.

Soak bread in milk; blend thoroughly and add salt, pepper and cayenne pepper.

Split raw shrimp almost in half.

Leave tail on shrimp.

Stuff shrimp with crabmeat mixture and press halves together.

Dip shrimp in seasoned flour, then in beaten egg. (Beat 1 egg at a time.

It may not be necessary to use all 3 eggs.) Roll shrimp in cracker meal and fry in deep hot fat; fry at about 375Β° until golden brown.

Serve with desired sauce.
