Sourdough Biscuits
Sourdough Biscuits is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. sifted flour, 1 1/2 c. sourdough starter, 1/4 c. melted shortening, 2 tbsp. sugar and 3 tsp. baking powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.

Place flour in a large bowl.
Make a hole in the middle and add sourdough starter to the hole.
Add melted shortening and dry ingredients.
From the middle, stirring in enough flour to make a dough.
Turn out onto a lightly floured board. Knead until consistency of bread dough.
Roll to 1/2-inch thickness. Cut biscuits and place in greased 12-inch Dutch oven, making grease sides, top and bottom of biscuits. for 1 hour in cold Dutch oven. Bake for 20 minutes on medium heat (350° to 375°).
