Shrimp Au Gratin
Shrimp Au Gratin is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 tbsp. butter or margarine, 3 tbsp. chopped onion, 1/4 c. flour, 1/2 tsp. salt and 1/4 tsp. dry mustard, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Melt 3 tablespoons butter in saucepan.
Saute onion.
Stir in flour, salt, mustard and pepper.
Cook, stirring constantly until mixture is bubbly.
Add milk; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until sauce thickens and bubbles.
Add 3/4 cup cheese; stir until melted.
Add shrimp and mushrooms to sauce.
Turn into a buttered 6-cup shallow baking dish.
Combine crumbs and remaining cheese.
Sprinkle over top of dish.
Dot with remaining 1 tablespoon butter.
Bake in hot oven, 400Β°, for 10 minutes or until sauce is bubbly and top is lightly browned.
Makes 4 servings.
May also be baked in individual ramekins.
