Scallops Au Gratin
Scallops Au Gratin is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 lb. fresh scallops, 1/4 c. butter or oleo, 2 medium green peppers, 2 medium onions, diced and 1 c. sharp grated cheddar cheese, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Rinse scallops in cold water. Cook scallops in water, uncovered, for 3 minutes.
Drain. Saute onion, green pepper and celery in butter until tender. Combine sauteed mix, scallops, bread crumbs and pepper.
Place in an 8 x 8-inch pan or casserole dish. Pour cream over all. Cover with aluminum foil. Bake at 400Β° for 40 minutes. Remove foil.
Sprinkle with cheese and bake 10 minutes longer.
