Salisbury Steak
Salisbury Steak is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. lean ground beef, 1 egg white, lightly beaten, 1/3 c. chopped onion, 1/4 c. saltine crumbs and 2 tbsp. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
In a bowl, combine the beef, egg white, onion, crumbs, milk, horseradish, salt and pepper.
Shape into 4 oval patties.
Fry in skillet over medium heat for 10 to 12 minutes or until cooked through, turning once.
Remove patties and keep warm.
Add gravy, mushrooms and water to skillet.
Heat 3 to 5 minutes.
Serve over patties and noodles, if desired.
