Place flour in bowl; cut lard into flour, using a pastry blender until mixture is the size of small peas.

Place egg, lemon juice, baking powder and salt in a glass measuring cup.

Add enough water to equal 1/2 cup.

Pour liquid into flour mixture and toss lightly just to moisten.

Divide dough in half and form into 2 balls; freeze 1 ball for future use and refrigerate 1 ball for 1/2 hour.

Roll out dough to fit a 9-inch pie pan; trim.

Roll out remaining dough.

Cut for top crust.

Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until golden, at 400Β°.
